Data deletion

Ask me to delete it and I will.

No form, no account, no hoops. One email does it.

  1. 1. Email me. Send a note to william@williambransford.com with the subject “Data deletion request”.
  2. 2. Tell me how to find you. Include the Instagram handle, email address, or phone number the data is attached to. Without one of those I can’t locate your record.
  3. 3. Say what to delete. Your Instagram comments and messages, your contact record, your project files, or everything. “All of it” is a valid answer.
  4. 4. That’s it. I confirm within 7 days and finish within 30. Free, and I won’t ask you to explain why.

What gets deleted

Everything I hold that identifies you: comments you left on my Instagram posts, direct messages you sent my Instagram account, your contact details, and our email and text history, removed from my database permanently rather than hidden.

Two things can survive, and I’ll tell you if they apply to you: invoices and payment records I’m legally required to retain, and finished video already delivered and published under a signed release. Anything else goes.

Deleting it on Instagram’s side

Removing your data from my records doesn’t touch Instagram itself. To cut off a connected app’s access to your own Instagram account, open Instagram, go to Settings, then Apps and Websites, and remove it there. To delete your Instagram data outright, use Instagram’s own Download and Delete tools under Settings, Your Activity.
