Built from Canon's published spec; not yet tested on footage from this camera. If blacks look lifted or crushed, check the clip's data levels.

Shot on Sony FX30 (S-Log3) and re-encoded into Canon Log 3 / Cinema Gamut to show the conversion.

The LUT converts Canon Log 3 with Cinema Gamut color, as the manufacturer publishes them, into Rec.709 through the ACES 2.0 output (SDR, 100 nits).

Set up the EOS C50

  • Custom Picture file C2: Canon Log 2 (Canon Log 2 / C.Gamut) or C3: Canon Log 3 (Canon Log 3 / C.Gamut); Gamma/Color Space also offers Canon Log 3 / BT.2020 and Canon Log 3 / BT.709
  • Base ISO with Canon Log 2/3: Auto switch, Base ISO 800 or Base ISO 6400
