Bransford MediaS-Log3 to Rec.709
Free Sony FX3 LUT (S-Log3 to Rec.709)
Turns the FX3's S-Log3 / S-Gamut3.Cine footage into normal-looking Rec.709 video. One .cube LUT, free for any project, no email.
The zip holds the same LUT twice: a 65-point file for editing, and a 33-point file for monitoring on a camera or in an app, or for older apps that won't load the larger one.
Checked against Sony's own LUT and tested on our Sony FX30 footage.

With the LUT
The LUT converts S-Log3 with S-Gamut3.Cine color, as the manufacturer publishes them, into Rec.709 through the ACES 2.0 output (SDR, 100 nits).

Set up the FX3
- MENU > Shooting > Image Quality/Rec > Log Shooting Setting > Log Shooting: Off / Flexible ISO / Cine EI Quick / Cine EI; Color Gamut S-Gamut3.Cine or S-Gamut3
- Base ISO (Cine EI): ISO 800 or ISO 12800; EI settable +/-2 EV from base
- Preset LUTs S-Log3 / s709 / 709(800%) plus User1-User16
Exposure
Sony: in Cine EI, shooting at an EI equal to or lower than the base ISO is generally recommended (shoot at EI = base ISO for least noise and most latitude). Help guide also notes S-Log3 noise may be improved by shooting brighter, at the cost of dynamic range.
