Bransford MediaN-Log to Rec.709
Free Nikon Z9 LUT (N-Log to Rec.709)
Turns the Z9's N-Log / N-Gamut footage into normal-looking Rec.709 video. One .cube LUT, free for any project, no email.
The zip holds the same LUT twice: a 65-point file for editing, and a 33-point file for monitoring on a camera or in an app, or for older apps that won't load the larger one.
Built from Nikon's published spec and checked against Nikon's own LUT.

The LUT converts N-Log with N-Gamut color, as the manufacturer publishes them, into Rec.709 through the ACES 2.0 output (SDR, 100 nits).

Set up the Z9
- Video recording menu: Video file type = N-RAW 12-bit (NEV), ProRes RAW HQ 12-bit, ProRes 422 HQ 10-bit or H.265 10-bit (MOV), then Tone mode = N-Log. At launch, N-Log was H.265 10-bit only; the RAW options came later.
- N-Log ISO (mode M): Lo 0.3-Lo 2.0 (added in 'C' firmware 4.00, about ISO 640 down to ISO 200 equivalent) or ISO 800-25600; Maximum sensitivity ISO 1600-25600.
Exposure
Nikon's Log-Format/RAW Technical Guide: for N-Log, expose an 18% grey card to about 35% on the waveform (10-bit code value around 372).
